Marathon Update 1.1.5.2 extends the experimental Vault Breaker mode, upgrades free Sponsored Kits, and delivers targeted weapon buffs and bug fixes. Here's everything that changed — based on the official notes from Bungie.

Vault Breaker

  • Vault Breaker mode duration has been extended — new end date: August 18.
  • Increased the available stock of some limited offers to reflect this extension.
  • Bungie notes they look forward to continued feedback on this experimental PvE mode.
  • Updated the Key Template Armory reward to correctly specify that it only awards Cryo Archive keys.

Item Economy

Free Sponsored Kits have been upgraded:

  • Starting weapons now come with random Enhanced (green) mods.
  • 1 stack of Enhanced (green) Patch Kits.
  • 1 random grenade (smoke, heat, or claymore).

Combat

Weapons

V22 Volt Thrower

  • Damage increased from 12.6 to 14.4.
  • Developer’s Note: This is a partial revert of the damage reduction applied on 7/24, which had brought Volt Thrower damage down from 18 to 12.6.
  • Tracking speed will now slowly decay over 1.2 seconds of a projectile's lifetime by a maximum of 30%.
  • Reduced the amount of time spent at 540rpm before weapon heat starts to spin down by ~20%.

KKV-9SD

  • Increased base magazine size from 23 to 28.
  • Retuned magazine sizes at every stat value to compensate.
  • Prestige Flechette Drum magazine mod stays the same at 87.
  • Fixed an issue where certain magazine mods were not correctly granting any additional rounds in the magazine.

V85 Circuit Breaker

  • Fixed a stability issue relating to the Prestige quality Overlocked Delimiter mod.
  • This mod has now been re-enabled.

Zones

  • Fixed an issue where opening the Cryo Hatch repeatedly could grant unintended amounts of faction reputation and Season XP — this action now provides the intended gains once per match.
  • All actions that previously had their reputation and XP gains disabled in Cryo Archive have now been re-enabled.

General

  • Fixed an issue where players would sometimes not receive Salvage or Schemas when purchasing Rewards Pass items with LUX.
  • Fixed an issue with the Store where some bundle items that should have also been visible in the Catalog section were not displaying correctly.
